On Monday we started off the week with the class with a positive outlook and with a wish to spend quality time together.
The students drew random names of class members and wrote cards with positive messages such as compliments, things they like about the person or things they are curious about. The students wrote many cards so that in the end every student ended up with several positive letters to read.
The kids continued with swimming lessons after this and returned to the classroom where we all had our lunches together.
In the afternoon we continued writing our class rap about bullying. In several groups the students wrote verses, which we later combined to a class song. The students rehearsed their versions in the group and presented them with a matching rap beat.

Sky Zone am Dienstag
Am Morgen von dem 23 März 2021 hat die Klasse 5 einen Ausflug nach Alexandria (Sky Zone) gemacht und mussten dafür um 8:40 in die Klasse um dann um 9:10 Uhr fuhren wir los. Wir hatten sehr viel Spaß sie durften auf Trampolinen springen und Dodge ball. Viele Leute sind aber auch in die Schaumgrube, denn es gab ein Trampolin vor der Schaumgrube von welchem viele dann Spaß hatten abzuspringen und dann stecken zu bleiben in der Schaumgrube. Manche spielten auf den Trampolinen sogar Basketball. Auf jeden Fall hatten wir alle sehr viel Spaß. Leider mussten wir um 13.30 Uhr wieder zurück.

Aboriginal Tools
On Wednesday, my class and I went to Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park. When we got there, it was flooded. After that we had morning tea and met our tour guide.
Our tour guide was good at throwing the boomerang. He showed us all the tools they used for hunting. When he finished explaining, we got to throw the boomerangs. Our class got back on the school bus because we were going to play on the beach.
Twenty minutes later we were on a ferry. Our class got off the ferry and ate lunch. We were all excited after we ate our lunch because we were going to the flying fox park. I was excited when we got to the flying fox park and started playing. After an hour of fun, we had to leave to get back to school.

Church Point
Am Mittwoch wollten die Klasse 5 in den Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park aber konnte nicht, weil der Park noch geschlossen war wegen dem starken Regen. Also sind wir mit dem Reiseführer zu einem Picknick-Platz gegangen. Er hieß Lory und sein Ur-Opa heißt Barangaree . Lory hat Klasse uns erzählt, dass Barangaree ein Leiter eines Ureinwohnerstammes war, und dass er in einem Krieg war. Dann hat er uns gezeigt wie man eine Boomerang wirft und ein paar Kinder konnten es ausprobieren. Später sind wir an einen Strand in Church Point gefahren. Wir haben da ein bisschen gespielt und dürften auch im Wasser spielen.
Danach sind haben wir eine Tour auf der Fähre gemacht, welche um Scotland Island fuhr. Als nächstes haben wir in Church Point Mittagessen genossen. Als allerletztes (auf dem Ausflug) sind wir zum Flying Fox Park in Mona Vale gefahren. Die Excursion in zum Basin-Track werden wir im nächsten Term hoffentlich nachholen.

Methodentag
Am Donnerstag hatten wir Methodentag und wir lernten, wie man eine Präsentation gestaltet und dafür recherchiert. Da waren drei Lehrerinnen: Frau Hessling, Frau Burkart und Mrs Clark. Wir sollten eine Gruppenarbeit machen.
Meine Gruppe hat eine Power Point über die Titanic gestaltet. Wir hatten es auch präsentiert. Ich war mit Nicolas und Marco zusammen in der Gruppe. Wir mussten Information in einem Buch finden. Die Power Point sollte nur drei oder vier Seiten lang sein und wenn man vier Seiten hatte, sollte man eine Titel Seite gestalten.
Wir hatten auch zwei Spiele gespielt. Sie hießen Chicken Spiel und Alaska Ball. In den Chicken Spiel sollten wir versuchen das Chicken zu fangen. In Alaska Ball sollten wir den Gruppenmitgliedern passen.

Presentation day
On Thursday, the 25th march, we walked into the classroom the same way as we always do There were three
teachers standing at the front, Mrs Clark, Frau Burkart and Frau Hessling. The teachers explained what we had
to do.
We teamed up into seven groups of three that the teachers assigned for us. We had to choose a non-fiction book at the front of the classroom. Then you had to get into your teams and find information about the subject you were presenting about. One person had to write the palm cards while the other two started working on the PowerPoint presentation. We were only allowed to do three slides and we were not allowed to write anything on the slides. We had the whole day to write and practice.
At the end of the day, we presented to everyone in the class and got feedback. We learnt about how to make a successful presentation and how to take feedback. We had a great day at presenting and working together.

Aboriginal art
Do you want to come with me and travel back to Friday the 26.3.21? Then let’s go!
First, we painted on Boomerangs I thought it was super fun. I had a black background, and I did an ocean and a beach at night with a moon. On the other side I did the same thing but with a sun.
After that we had lunch. I had a really yummy lunch. We were told to make paint with sandstone and water. Then we painted on rocks where the rain could wash it off again. While we were still making the paint, we asked Sashko if me and Sasha could work with him and he said yes. So, we mixed many different colours. My favourite was the brownish-purple colour.
We had lots of fun.

Kunst der Aboriginals
Wollt ihr in die Vergangenheit reisen und am Freitag die Kunst der Aboriginals entdecken? Am Freitag dem 26.3.21 hatten wir sehr viel Spaß. Als erstes haben wir einen Boomerang angemalt, ich fand diese Aufgabe cool. Wir sollten den Bumerang mit Tieren, unserer Geschichte oder mit etwas bemalen was uns wichtig ist. Ich wollte meine Geschichte malen und habe Wasser und wo ich wohne, gemalt. Dann musste ich warten bis die Seite fertig getrocknet war und dann habe ich die andere Seite bemalt und diese mit einem Sonnenuntergang auf dem Wasser gemalt.
Danach sollten wir verschieden farbige Sandsteine finden. Heidi, Sashko und ich haben zusammen gesucht. Nach 45 Minuten Pause geschätzt ging es weiter. Wir hatten alle Farben und mussten Wasser den Sand mit Wasser mischen. Damit sollten wir Handabdrücke auf Steine malen, da wo der Regen es wegwaschen konnte. Mir hat alles sehr viel Spaß gemacht.
