On Tuesday, 2nd March, the annual IPSHA Swimming Carnival took place at Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre. Students from Years 3-6 who had qualified at the GISS Swimming Carnival represented our school and they really did us proud.
The students had an amazing day competing against 48 other schools. The atmosphere at the Olympic Pool was fantastic and it was great to see that all of them were able to achieve their personal best in the pool. (Anika Davey)
"At IPSHA there are a lot of different private schools that are competing against you. When your event is called you go down to the marshalling area and wait for your heat and name to be called. Then you sit on chairs and wait for your race.
What I enjoyed most about IPSHA is racing and cheering on my friends and schoolmates. It was a really great experience. It was wonderful racing in the Olympic pool where the Olympics were held in 2000. It was so great and I really enjoyed it." - Tahnee Knieling (Year 6)
