This week our students from Years 3-6 enjoyed a bilingual puppet show from Carrousel Theatre. The show was based on The Jungle Book (Das Dschungelbuch) by Rudyard Kipling and followed the story of Mowgli, a little Indian boy, and his sister Rosa who ventured into the rain forest to find magical leaves that could cure their sick mother when suddenly Mowgli gets lost.

What they get up to next is an exciting adventure involving Macan the Tiger, Pipo the wise monkey, a very nasty Herr Schlange, and Mister Frosch. Carrousel Theatre is a puppetry theatre company based in Melbourne. It originated in Paris and has been performing in Australia since 2000. Their objective is to encourage the study of European languages through the medium of puppetry.

Thank you so much Carrousel Theatre for a wonderful morning. We loved it!
