Congratulations to our DSD (Deutsches Sprachdiplom) students who have passed their German Language Diploma exams on levels B1, B2, or C1.

We are proud of your achievements and your determination having sat the DSD exams last year under challenging Covid restrictions. We hope that with your diploma you will chose to either visit a Studienkolleg (prep courses for university studies in Germany) or attend a German university or just travel through a German speaking country.

Thank you to our new Consul-General of Germany Mr. Zeidler and our deputy Consul-General Mr. Schmitz to visit our school and to hand over the diplomas during our secondary school assembly.

The DSD (Deutsches Sprachdiplom) is the German Language Diploma of the German Federal Government and the federal states and can be taken on level B1 (DSD I) and B2/C1 (DSD II). DSD I and DSD II exams are held in over 65 countries, with over 75.000 participants every year worldwide.

congratulations to our dsd students!

The students also organised a cake sale and mystery box competition and raised $600 for the school’s charity a Girl & her world as well as for a previous student who had some bad luck recently. GISS matched the amount so the handsome total of $1,200 was raised by the SRC. Well done!

As is tradition, the SRC organises the yearly Valentine's Day fundraiser at GISS and the cupids this year delivered many cards and treats to happy students and staff members.
