leichtathletik sportfest
Am Donnerstag, dem 16. Februar genossen wir unser Leichtathletik-sportfest bei Sonnenschein und guter Stimmung auf dem Gelände des Sports Academy in Narrabeen.
Die Schülerinnen und Schüler der Klassen 3 bis 9 und einige der Klasse 10 maßen sich in den Disziplinen 100m- und 200m- Sprint, 400m- bzw. 800m-Lauf, Diskuswurf, Kugelstoß und Weitsprung und zeigten in über 80 Rennen auf der Laufbahn, in der Sprunggrube und in den Wurfkreisen ihr Engagement und ihren Eifer.
Neben persönlichen Erfolgen konnten sie auch Punkte für ihr Haus sammeln und am Schluss stand als Sieger Fairness mit 378 Punkten vor Friendship mit 338 Punkten und Respect mit 308 Punkten fest.
Herzlichen Dank an all die Lehrkräfte und Mitarbeiter der GISS und an die Schülerinnen und Schüler der 10. Klasse für ihre tatkräftige Unterstützung bei der Organisation. Herzlichen Dank auch an die Eltern, die die Aktiven lautstark anfeuerten.
giss athletics carnival
On Thursday, 16 February, we enjoyed our athletics carnival on the grounds of the Sports Academy in Narrabeen.
The students from Year 3 to 9 and some from Year 10 competed in the disciplines 100 m and 200 m sprint, 400 m and 800 m run, discus, shot put and long jump and they proved their dedication and zeal in over 80 races on the track, in the jumping pit and in the throwing circles.
In addition to their own personal success, they were also able to collect points for their houses and in the end the winner was Fairness with 378 points, followed by Friendship with 338 points and Respect with 308 points.
Many thanks to all the teachers and staff of GISS and to the Year 10 students for their active support in the organization. Thank you also to the parents who cheered on the participants loudly.
