International Sports Day mit Leichtathletik, Spiel und „Dschinghis Khan“
Am 24 August fand der International Sports Day der Internationalen Japanischen Schule Sydney statt, bei dem die Schülerinnen und Schüler der Klassen 3 bis 6 der GISS sich mit vier weiteren Schulen in den Disziplinen 80m- bzw. 100m-Lauf, Weitsprung und 800m-Lauf messen konnten.
Jede Schule teilte ihre Teilnehmer in vier Farben auf, so dass in jedem Farbteam alle Schulen vertreten waren. So lernten sich die Kinder etwas kennen. Das Team Blau wurde von unserer Schülerin Zoe S angeführt und das Team Rot von unserem Schüler Sashko B.
Außerdem gab es noch weitere Aktivitäten: Das Teamseilziehen und das Big Ball Race waren weitere Höhepunkte, genauso wie der schon traditionelle Tanz zu dem Lied „Dschinghis Khan“ und natürlich die Mannschaftslaufstaffeln der vier Farben.
Den über 100 teilnehmenden Schülerinnen und Schülern machte dieser Sporttag bei Sonnenschein große Freude und wir hoffen, dass er auch nächstes Jahr wieder stattfinden kann.
On 24 August 2022, the International Sports Day of the International Japanese School Sydney took place, where the students of Years 3 to 6 of the GISS competed with four other schools in the disciplines 80m and 100m run, long jump and 800m run.
Each school divided its participants into four colours so that all schools were represented in each colour team. This is how the children got to know each other. Team Blue was led by our student Zoe S and Team Red by our student Sashko B.
There were also other activities for the four teams: the Tug of War, the Big Ball Race and a dance to the song "Genghis Khan". Another highlight was of course the team relays in 80m run of the four colours.
The more than 100 participating students of our school enjoyed this sports day in the sunshine and we hope that it can take place again next year.
