Dear colleagues, parents and students,

My name is Emma Vogt, and I will be doing an internship (secondary school) at GISS during Terms 3 and 4. I would therefore like to take this opportunity to briefly introduce myself.

I am 22 years old and currently studying to become a secondary school teacher at Goethe University Frankfurt in Germany. My teaching subjects are Mathematics, Biology, and Physical Education, and I am about to begin my seventh semester.

A little about me: I love dancing - especially partner dances such as ballroom, Latin, and swing - and playing beach volleyball. Furthermore I love hiking and taking part in all kinds of sporting activities as well as meeting with friends for card games. Every now and then, I also like to get creative through arts and crafts.

I strongly oppose all forms of discrimination, including antisemitism, racism, Islamophobia, anti-LGBTQ+ discrimination, sexism, and ableism, to name just a few. I strive to use inclusive and respectful language. If anything I say or do unintentionally causes harm or offence, I would really appreciate you letting me know so that I can learn from it and do better in the future.

Best wishes and kind regards
Emma Vogt
